Posted in Games, PS3, Xbox 360 on June 30th, 2008 by boidsterAfter courts cases, naff Sixaxis replacements, and a mass of gamers wondering why Sony couldn’t get their fingers out and give us a decent Dualshock update, it’s finally been given a street date of July 4th for Europe.
Retailing at £39.99 it’s hardly a cheap purchase, although the 360 wireless pad is around the same RRP, and for that it adds in the monumental addition of rumble technology. Sarcasm aside, David Reeves, president of SCEE hopes, “this will add to the intense gaming experience for our fans, as we continue to evolve PS3, its software and its peripherals.”
So that will be the same rumble that has been around for years, in various consoles, including the PS2. Yeah, revolutionary. I wonder if Sony have tried selling ice to the Eskimos?
The good thing is that with the next firmware update for PS3, a variety of games will be made compatible with the Dualshock controller, including Resistance, GT5 and Uncharted.
