An Uno Update

Posted in Lolocaust, Xbox Live on May 31st, 2008 by Bouncybhall

Until recently we would make a point of pointing out the people on Xbox Live who ruin the experience for others, but then we started playing a lot of inclusive titles, and the general public was allowed to run free, well no more.

You spot something corruptive or offensive, get a snap of it and send it to us with a few details. We will do our utmost to make the world aware.

Be warned world, The Lolocaust is watching you.

Here’s a - rather disappointing - look at the two previous offensive gamers we encountered and shamed.

’skywalkerc3po’ - The Uno Wanker - Still touching himself on camera in front of anyone who may be passing. No ban by Microsoft.

‘JOHN P JIM’ - The Uno Racist - Still gaming, despite evidence of overt racism being posted here, written about in 360 Gamer magazine, and evidence being forwarded to the Xbox team.

It would be easy to dismiss the campaign we are waging, but to be honest it’s best to know that some gamers care.

We cannot rely on the XBL terms and conditions to protect younger, impressionable gamers, we have to do it ourselves.

The rating system  is there to be used, not abused, but in some cases abuse against abusers is fair. So here’s the plan.

If you spot an offender on our pages, try to get them into your games. That way you can leave feedback, and make a complaint.

Ok it’s not working 100% within the system, but these people are a blight on the service, the industry and the culture.

We will not stand for it, we do not abide.

Erm…

Erm… Now I love a peripheral, but… erm….

So, we know it has a limited amount of songs, is slightly awkward to hold, and now is advertised in possibly the worst way ever…

I genuinely would not be surprised if the advertising team were the people who produced that Super Mario movie with Bob Hoskins in…

Actually watching that back it looks amazing.

Raving Rabbids 3 to use ‘Bum’ Control

Posted in Games, Wii on May 29th, 2008 by fatherfil

The third installment of the craziest party game ever will make use of the latest Wii accessories, the Wii Fit board. The storyline this time will focus on the raving rabbids taking over your TV and will have over 65 mini games that will spoof various television, music and movie franchises.

The Wii Fit board comes into play with ‘Bum Control’ where I guess we have to sit on it, apparently by shifting our weight we will steer whatever element of the mini game needs steering.

Yves Guillemot, president and chief executive officer of Ubisoft warned us to expect many more ‘interesting’ uses of the Wii Fit Board in the game. What I’d like to see is someone using it as a skateboard or as a snowboard. We know from the Wii Fit game that it has extremely accurate sensors on your position, body weight distribution etc. so I can’t see why not.

Anyhow, RR3 will be out in time for Christmas. An excellent use of an otherwise single-game accessory. Now that seems to be a common theme of late. Rock band anyone?

Tonight Matthew, I’m going to be…

I would hereby like to give notice that as of 10.30pm last night, I will hereby be known as both ‘Boidster’ and ’Demonic Leprechaun’.

Apparently I sound like a demonic leprechaun with a mischievous laugh whilst trying to get a friend to run over a hotdog stand in GTA IV online, when that friend has no idea what happens.

Only problem is, it didn’t frickin’ work. To tell you why would ruin the surprise for those who don’t know.

Here endeth another pointless update from The Lolocaust.

Thank you, come again!
